My passion and profession is painting : decors, murals, furniture. Based in Lyon, I travel pretty much everywhere from Lyon, Paris and London to the Middle East via Berlin or Moscow for work. I have studied 6 years at the School for Applied Arts & Crafts in Lyon and the Art School (Beaux Arts) in Saint-Etienne and I am a full member of the French artists' union (Maison des Artistes).
I believe in meticulous work and traditional skills. Part of my commissioned work deals with the restoration of architectural and decorative heritage such as ceilings and murals, wood panelling in protected buildings, churches and castles. On the other hand, I create custom made decors
from the simple and delicate to the more intricate in trompe l'oeil and faux finishes (walls,cellings, railings etc) and panoramic frescos both indoors and outdoor. Beside the larger formats, I hand-paint furniture & accessories using marbling and other faux techniques and folding screens. For walls and ceilings my preference goes to whitewash tainted with natural pigments, marble powder, casein and soft soap and other age-old formulas which I have collected and used throughout the years.
Attentive to my clients wishes, my aim is to be in tune with the places I am assigned to decorate for the pleasure of those who have to live in them !
From the design to the execution phase I carry your project through to fruition, be it a commercial venue a school or other public spaces such as hospitals and, why not, a bridge in Camargue, and naturally your home or, indeed your castle .
